I got married in 1960 and we adopted a daughter (Jean) in 1964 and the Lord blessed me again by giving birth to another daughter (Cathy) in 1969. My husband Bill was in the Forestry Service and traveled around a lot, living in Asheville, N.C., Alexandria, La., Missoula, Mt., Davis, California and Winters, California, until my divorce in 1980.
I did lose both my parents in 1977 within 6 weeks of each other. This was a very difficult time for me, as we were very close, and they were living not too far from us here in California.
I met and married a wonderful man, Burt, who had 4 kids, and his wife had passed away 1 yr. prior. We married soon after my divorce was final and now have been married 21 wonderful years this Dec. Together we have 6 kids, 20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. We are very family oriented and we all live in Ca., from San Diago to Mt. Shasta.
On Sept. 25th 2002, Burts dad Peter passed away. He was 100yrs and 4 1/2 months old. He had lived a good life and was a great person, he will be missed.
Burt teaches canning and I do water exercise and we both bowl once a week. We enjoy each other and love our church and are very active there. We love our lord Jesus Christ and he has blessed us many times.
One blessing is in 1985 after a long search we found my biological mom, back in Syracuse (not married to my dad), but thru her found him also. So had a relationship with both of them for about 7 years, when they both died within 6 months of each other. They were good people, but God knew what he was doing when he gave me the parents he did back in 1940. My bio-father had been an alcoholic for 60 of his years, but when I met him he had quit and called me a miracle in his life. My bio-mother never had had any other children, but me. The story had a happy ending, another reason why God is sooo good.
Burt and I were doing Antique shows for a few years, buying and selling, but now we like to just garage sale, spend time with family and enjoy our church family. We certainly have enjoyed retirement and do hope to see many of you again in 2003 or 2006.
We only live about 35min. from San Francisco, so our door is always open if you are ever out this way. Good Bless you. Gina (Regina)
